Brigadier General YD Ahmed, Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), expressed appreciation for the robust and harmonious partnership between NYSC and various Security Agencies during his recent visits to key security entities in Gusau, Zamfara State.

During his visit to the Headquarters of the 1 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Ahmed was warmly received by the Commander, Brigadier General S Ahmed. The Commander pledged support for NYSC’s mandate of promoting national unity and acknowledged the DG’s commitment to the welfare of Corps Members. He highlighted the DG’s presence in Zamfara State as a demonstration of his dedication to ensuring the safety of Corps Members deployed to the region.

The Commissioner of Police in Zamfara State, Mohammed Bunu, also extended his commitment to collaborating with the NYSC. He affirmed that the Police force in the state is dedicated to supplementing the efforts of other Security Agencies in ensuring the welfare and security of the NYSC Scheme.

Brigadier General Ahmed reciprocated the appreciation, commending the Police for their dedication to providing reassurances of safety to both staff and Corps Members. He emphasized that this aligns with his priorities since assuming office. The NYSC Boss’ visits extended to the Department of State Services (DSS), where he met with the State Director of Security, Mr. Usman Shehu. The DSS representative assured the DG of their continuous willingness to collaborate with the NYSC.

Ahmed’s interactions underscore the significance of the NYSC’s collaboration with Security Agencies in Zamfara State. This cooperative effort reflects the paramount importance placed on the safety and well-being of Corps Members, further reinforcing the NYSC’s mission of fostering unity and development among Nigerian youth.
